Landscape Design Presentation
Enabling Garden Design

Each year students in the Horticultural Technician program are required to design a group landscape project. The designs are completed by design groups of approximately three students per group. The completed designs, which are generally 6 to 7 in number, are presented to a panel of invited judges. Program staff review the desgn chosen for installation.

This years project is to design a universally accessible outdoor lounge area that will be used by all who participate in programs at the G.R. Paine Horticultural Centre. The lounge will also act as a hub, or common gathering area, for participants in the Horticultural Therapy program. They will access the additional future garden areas through this hub. Each garden area will be designed to fulfill the requirements for teaching and offering Horticultural Therapy programs.
